Athens Stock Exchange opening: Rise

The basic share price index was up 1.08 percent, standing at 831.71 points at 11.00 and turnover was at 3.85 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.14 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was up 1.34 percent.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Raw Materials (+2.36 percent) and Oil (+1.50 percent). The heaviest losses were in Commerce (-0.32 percent).

Of the stocks traded, 50 were up, 12 were down and 5 were unchanged.
