Light quake jolts Mount Athos
A light quake was recorded early on Tuesday on Mount Athos.
According to the Seismological Station of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the tremor measured 3.3 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was 7-8 klm south-east of Ierissos in a depth of 10 klm.
"It was a light earthquake, an individual earthquake," Ilias Fikos, geologist-physicist at the station, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
