4.2 Richter earthquake near Karpathos

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale shook Karpathos island at 06:44 on Friday, with an epicentre located in the sea 77 km east of Karpathos and some 490 km east of Athens, the Geodynamics Institute of the Athens National Observatory reported.
An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale shook the eastern Dodecanese islands on Thursday.
