Turkish F-16 flew over Greek islands without submitting flight plans

Two pairs of Turkish military aircraft entered Athens FIR on Thursday without submitting flight plans.

The Greek Defence General Staff said that a pair of Turkish F-16 flew over the islands of Panaghia and Oinousses at 10:09 on Thursday at 12,000 and 10,000 feet respectively.

Another pair of Turkish F-16 flew again over Panaghia and Oinousses at 27,000 feet at 10:47 on Thursday.

The Turkish fighter jets were recognised and intercepted by Greek ones according to the international rules.
