Search and rescue operation for the Canadian military helicopter in the Mediterranean
The Canadian Armed Forces confirmed on Thursday that they have lost contact with a helicopter of the HMCS Fredericton frigate, which was patrolling the international waters between Greece and Italy, as part of a NATO exercise.
Fredericton, a Canadian frigate, participated in the "Reassurance" NATO exercise.
A search and rescue operation is underway. According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency's sources, a Greek Navy helicopter will take part in the search and rescue operation.
