PPC introduces further cuts in bill fees for customers in blackout areas after snowstorm

The Public Power Corporation (PPC) announced additional cuts in bills of customers affected by power outages after the snowstorm on Monday night, it said on Saturday.

Besides the suspension of electricity distribution fees announced on Friday by the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (HEDNO) for all residents of areas with power outages, regarless of provider, PPC said it would introduce further cuts to its own customers in those areas, reducing their total bills by as much as 30 pct.

The reductions will show up in one of the future bills, depending on the billing cycle of its customers, PPC said.
