Weather forecast: Rain, local storms & high winds on Sunday
Weather is expected to change considerably on Sunday, albeit temporarily, starting with heavy rainfall, storms and high winds over the Ionian islands and western Peloponnese.
These phenomena will then spread across mainland Greece, but will start to subside in the evening and eventually stop altogether late at night.
Weather will stay fair, however, in Thrace, in the eastern Aegean islands and the Dodecanese, but heavy clouds and rain will prevail in the rest of the country on Sunday, including southern regions.
Easterly winds are expected in western regions, registering between 4-6 in the Beaufort scale, and northerly over the Aegean up to 6 Beaufort.
Temperatures will reach 26C and 28C in western Greece and 28C to 30C in eastern parts of the country.
