Alexis Tsipras opens 3rd Congress of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance in Faliro
The 3rd Congress of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance is "a great leap for political change," main opposition party leader Alexis Tsipras said on Thursday evening, in his opening address at the Tae Kwon Do Stadium in Faliro, south of Athens.
Tsipras said that "the continually worsening climate crisis, the pandemic, the war, the energy crisis are all forming an environment of continuous crises and unprecedented challenges, but this dystopian environment also raises the moral obligation of progressive forces to defend the vision of a society of freedom and equality."
