Wildfire in Glyfada is under partial control
A wildfire that broke out at a forested area in the south Athenian suburb of Glyfada is now under partial control, the Fire Brigade reported on Thursday.
The fire is burning near a housing community at the end of Kritonos and Ifestou streets but has not damaged any homes.
Some 25 firefighters with 12 fire engines are battling the blaze, while 2 water-bombing aircraft and a helicopter were on standby for assistance.
