Economou: Fuel support will be higher for the islands
Government spokesperson Yiannis Economou, speaking to Mega TV on Tuesday, referred to the state support to cover fuel costs, stating that it will be higher for the islands, that more people will be entitled to it and that it will have a three-month duration.
Economou underlined that things are difficult and that the government is having to manage unprecedented crises.
Especially with regard to support for electricity bills, he said it was very high and everyone had started to see a difference in their bills.
He also said that Greece will not have a problem with the natural gas supply to the country. "The temporary interruption by Gazprom was a scheduled maintenance process," he added.
On Turkey, he stated that the neighbouring country is constantly promoting completely unsupported arguments without any historical foundation.
