Skertsos: Tassoulas is a personality that can guarantee the unity of the citizens and the country

State Minister Akis Skertsos in an interview with SKAI TV on Sunday referred to New Democracy's candidate for President of Republic. "Every choice must be judged at the given time", was his introductory remark and "the choice made by the Prime Minister in the person of the outgoing President of the Parliament, Constantine Tassoulas, has elements that guarantee political stability in an uncertain international environment, political moderation and political culture. Skertsos said that "the Prime Minister has a mandate from the people to bring growth to the country - it has achieved higher rates than the rest of Europe in very turbulent times. He has an obligation to guarantee the security of the country at the borders but also in the cities, in the periphery - he has done so - and the sense of security of the citizens is improving."

He also explained that the Prime Minister "has an obligation to guarantee political stability. There are no governments in Germany, France, Austria. There are changes in the geopolitical environment internationally and we have a Greece which, while in the previous decade it was the black sheep of the world because of political instability and economic crisis and recession, in recent years, with the one-party government of a broad social coalition of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has managed to conquer political stability. The premier looks only forward neither right nor left . His aim is to guarantee the political stability".

After all, "knowing the man and having worked with Mr. Tassoulas, he is a personality who can guarantee the unity of the citizens, the unity of the country, so that we can have a President of the Republic that will function in a stabilising way".
