Four more villages on the island of Chios get message to evacuate

In a message sent via the emergency number 112, Greek authorities on Monday instructed residents of the villages Vessa, Lithi, Elata and Armolia in the southwest of the island of Chios to evacuate because of an oncoming wildfire.

The message warned of a forest fire in the area and instructed those in the vicinity of the four villages to move away via Kontelopou to the indoor gym at Livadia, Chios.
