FinMin Pierrakakis meets Guilfoyle on investments and Greece-US economic cooperation
The Minister of Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, met on Friday afternoon with the new US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle.
As he noted in a post on Facebook, they discussed investment issues and strategic cooperation between Greece and the US within the broader context of further developing economic relations between the two countries.
He also emphasised that they discussed the historical dynamics that have shaped Greek-American relations. Greece and the US, he said, share a solid foundation of trust that allows both countries to look to the future with optimism and confidence.
On Greece, Pierrakakis said the country has made a strong comeback and is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for American capital. He added that Greece looks forward to continuing close, strategic cooperation with the US, which will reinforce Greece’s role as a reliable partner and a pillar of stability in the region.
