INTIME.

The important positive measures that are about to be implemented immediately and will benefit millions of workers and pensioners in the coming period were outlined by Labour and Social Security Minister Niki Kerameus, in an interview with SKAI TV on Friday.

Kerameus referred to the historic Social Agreement signed between all national social partners and the government, which significantly facilitates the conclusion of more Collective Labour Agreements, as well as their extension.

At the same time, Kerameus announced the forthcoming increase in the minimum wage as of 1 April 2026.

“I will submit the proposal to the Cabinet in March. The consultation process with the social partners will precede it, beginning in January. It is part of our planning and always within the overall goal set by Kyriakos Mitsotakis for a minimum wage of 950 euros by 2027,” she added.

Finally, Kerameus spoke about the Ministry of Labour and Social Security’s outward-looking initiative “Rebrain Greece” and “specifically about the highly successful event held on 7 December 2025 in New York, with the participation of more than 1,500 Greeks living abroad and 35 business groups active in Greece.”
