Confirmation for Newsbomb.gr:Zagorakis is candidate of New Democracy
The participation of the captain of the national soccer team of 2004, Theodoros Zagorakis, in its ballot for the Euro Elections was announced yesterday by New Democracy following a meeting at the Maximos Mansion with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras.
As reported by Newsbomb.gr from Saturday, the man who lifted the cup of Euro 2004 had almost agreed with the Prime Minister and it would be surprising if eventually he wasn't listed. "I would like to thank you for the honorary proposal you made. We are obliged, when our country needs us, in such proposals, to respond positively. And I believe we will bring up Greece in Europe even more" Zagorakis said to the prime minister. As it's known, the presentation of the candidates of New Democracy is scheduled for today, Holy Tuesday.
