Turkish national found on islet arrested for illegal entry into Greece
A 27-year-old Turkish national found by a Greek patrol vessel on Tuesday (18/04/2017) on the rocky islet of Nimos, near Symi, was arrested on Wednesday for illegal entry into the country from an unofficial entry point.
The man, who according to sources said he is a lawyer, had a passport that expired on the 24th of this month and claimed he reached the islet after paying for a speedboat ride. He will be led before the prosecutor in Rhodes.
