Aerobatics display by Red Arrows, Greek Mirage 2000-5 for Prince Charles visit
Nine BAE Hawks from the UK Royal Air Force elite air display team "Red Arrows", led by a Hellenic Air Force Mirage 2000-5 fighter jet, will conduct an aerobatics display above Paleo Faliro at 14:15 on Thursday, during a visit to the area by Charles, Prince of Wales.
The Prince of Wales will be paying a visit to the reconstructed trireme Olympias and the Battleship Averoff Floating Nautical Museum, which are docked at the Park of Maritime Tradition in Flisvos.
The air display is dedicated to the memory of HAF Flight Lieutenant Giorgos Baltadoros, who lost his life in April when his Mirage fighter jet plunged into the sea.
The "Red Arrows" are in Greece for the fourth successive year, having arrived on April 22 to conduct part of their spring training at the 114 HAF Battle Wing in Tanagra.
The Prince of Wales and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are currently in Greece on a three-day official visit.
