Passenger catamaran ''Flying Cat 4'' collides with pier - No injuries
The passenger catamaran "Flying Cat 4" managed to dock in the port of Rafina without assistance after colliding with a pier earlier on Monday, possibly due to a damaged helm. None of the 215 passengers on board were injured.
The passengers were transferred to coast guard vessels and taken to Rafina port in safety, where the ship owner is expected to make arrangements to take them to their destinations.
The catamaran and its 13-member crew will await inspection by divers and has been temporarily forbidden to set sail from Rafina, from where it had departed at 7:30 heading for the Aegean islands of Tinos, Mykonos, Naxos, Ios, Sikinos and Folegandros.
