Weather forecast: Rain, strong winds to hit western parts of the country

Wind velocity will reach 7 on the Beaufort scale. From early on in the day, the Ionian islands will be hit with rain and this will pick up through the afternoon.

Deteriorating weather conditions are also expected to hit other parts of western Greece, southern Peloponnese and western Crete with a small drop in temperatures.
