Stathakis announces new regulation on protection of first residence
"The definite exit from the memoranda allows us to follow an economic policy based on the needs of the majority," Environment and Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis said on Sunday in an interview with 'Ethnos' newspaper.
He underlined that the protection of the first residence remains a strategic point of the government policy and announced a new regulation that will replace the current one. The new regulation will be completed by Christmas and will be based on income criteria.
Stathakis ruled out the possibility of an increase in energy tarrifs and stressed that Greece will turn into a transport and energy hub that includes a cycle of very large investment projects.
