The cycle of memoranda closes definetely, Labour Min Achtsioglou says

The annulment of the pension cuts to be voted in parliament on Tuesday proves in practice that Greece has closed the cycle of memoranda and fiscal adjustment programmes, Labour Minister Effie Achtsioglou said on Tuesday in an interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

It also confirms that the country has regained its sovereignty in planning and implementing policies and justifies the firm position of the government that it is an unnecessary measure, she stated.

Moreover, she announced that almost 620,000 pensioners will see their pensions gradually increase as of January 1, 2019.

The transition to the next day is a reality and this is confirmed through specific measures with direct and positive impact on the large majority of the society, Achtsioglou added.
