ASE: Greek stocks end flat
Greek stocks ended flat in the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) on Wednesday.
The general index of the market edged 0.03 pct higher to end at 635.67 points, with the Large Cap index falling 0.10 pct and the Mid Cap index rising 0.12 pct.
Turnover was 32.369 million euros in volume of 17,883,086 shares. Eurobank (2.31 pct), Grivalia Properties (2.09 pct) and GEK Terna (1.39 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while Sarantis (3.24 pct), PPC (2.37 pct) and OTE (1.52 pct) suffered heavy losses.
Among market sectors, Real Estate (1.72 pct) and Industrial Products (0.80 pct) scored gains, while Telecoms (1.52 pct) and Personal Products (1.05 pct) suffered losses. Eurobank and Alpha Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, advancers led decliners by 50 to 41 with another 36 issues unchanged. Unibios (14.38 pct), Papoutsanis (11.76 pct) were top gainers, while Creta Farm (13.04 pct) and Mermeren (5.71 pct) were top losers.
