Kikilias accuses government of how it handled the Prespes Agreement

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) Shadow Defence Minister Vassilis Kikilias criticised the government over the way it handled the Prespes Agreement.

More specifically, he accused it of selling off the most important national acquis, the inter-party consensus on the Skopje name issue and the national unity.

"(Prime Minister Alexis) Tsipras and his collaborators handed over our historical achievements, undermining our national interests," he said in an article pusblished to newspaper 'Dimokratia'.

Kikilias explained that the developments from the intention to come to an agreement until the ratification of the Prespes Agreement have changed the country. "The positive outcome is that despite the government propaganda, the Greeks have developed a new kind of patriotism based on the pure love for the country," he underlined.
