Case file on Novartis has arrived in parliament
The case file on the Novartis case, currently under investigation, has been sent to parliament, sources confirmed on Tuesday. Its contents will be examined by representatives of the political parties that are on the Special Permanent Committee on Parliamentary Ethics, the sources said.
Prosecuting authorities on Monday announced that the file on the investigation would be sent to parliament with a recommendation to lift the immunity from prosecution for MP and former minister Andreas Loverdos, after uncovering indications of his possible involvement in bribery.
The files of former prime minister Panagiotis Pikrammenos and former ministers Evangelos Venizelos, Andreas Lykourentzos and Giorgos Koutroumanis were sent to the archives.
Ongoing cases include those of former PM Antonis Samaras and former ministers Adonis Georgiadis, Yannis Stournaras, Dimitris Avramopoulos and Marios Salmas.
