Citizens' Service Centres to send certificates via e-mail, courier

Citizens who do not have digital skills and have no access to the gov.gr digital portal will be able to receive certificates via e-mail, courier, but also by phone, Deputy Digital Governance Minister Giorgos Georgantas said to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

"At this difficult time, the role of the state is to effectively protect the health of its citizens. The ministry has been at the forefront of the fight against the coronavirus from the beginning, ensuring that our fellow citizens, and especially the most vulnerable, will avoid crowded areas and queues in public-sector services in order to get one certificate. The activation of gov.gr enabled citizens to process a number of their dealings with the State electronically, from their computer or mobile phone. However, we must also protect those of our fellow citizens who do not have digital skills or the necessary electronic equipment. The ability of the Citizens' Service Centres (KEP) to send documents and certificates to citizens at home via a phone call and without any charge serves this very purpose," he said.
