Another 1,490 coronavirus cases confirmed; 239 are intubated and 41 have died
Greece registered another 1,490 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, it said on Monday, of which 25 were identified at entry points to the country, bringing total novel coronavirus cases since the pandemic broke out to 58,187.
Of these, 4,456 relate to travel abroad and 15,977 to already known cases, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said.
A total of 239 people are on ventilators. Their median age is 66 years and 87.0 pct have and underlying condition or is over 70 years of age; 59 are women.
Another 329 have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic in Greece.
In addition, 41 people died, bringing the death toll in Greece due to coronavirus to 825. The median age of all was 79 years and 96.5 pct had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or more, while 335 were women.
