Koufodinas releases message to thank supporters for their solidarity

In his message, released through his lawyer Ioanna Kourtovik, he said:

"Solidarity is the vital condition that unites us in struggle. I thank the friends and comprades who stood by in solidarity. I thank all progressive people for their support, which was not support to an individual but to a moment of struggle against an inhumane authority. A solidarity and support that proved there are lively social forces that stand against abuse, violence and authoritarianism. And this constitutes a new hope. The government currently ruling proved how ruthless it is in degrading laws and the Constitution, in its handling of justice. Let them keep it. They will be judged by the people protesting in the streets. What is happening out there is a lot more significant than what it began with. Before the force of these struggles, I am stating myself that I also am there, among you, with my heart and mind."

Koufodinas is currently in hospital because of a hunger and liquid strike to protest his transfer to Domokos prison instead of the one in Korydallos.
