Economou: The gov't will exhaust any possibility to support households and enterprises
"The developments in Ukraine do not allow any optimism. The stain for the perpetrators for the crimes in the town of Bucha will be indelible," government spokesperson Yiannis Economou stated on Monday at his briefing to the press.
Referring to the increases on energy, he noted that the government is continuously creating new potentials for support. "We are aware of the the situation inside and outside the country and we are struggling to find solutions. Unfortunately, the situation seems to be more difficult", due to Russian President Vladimir Putins' request to be paid in rubles.
Economou also said that this month a new support package will come into effect and reassured that the government will exhaust all possibilities to support the households and the enterprises.
The government spokesman presented in detail the support measures of April adding that the checks to prevent profiteering phenomena will intensify. "No tolerance to profiteering," he underlined .
In parallel, he said that the government continues the reforms and referred to the actions assumed to tackle the unemployment.
