Tsipras: We want, can and will win
Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Alexis Tsipras said that today (Sunday) is an important day for the party and a historic day for the left and the progressive party, addressing the first meeting of the new Central Committee.
Tsipras said that "we want, can and will win" noting that this certainty and commitment gives to today's meeting "the weight of a huge responsibility" not only because "SYRIZA-PA is called to elect the party's executive bodies but mostly because here and now we are giving the signal for political change. United and determined".
Alexis Tsipras said that today is the first day of a difficult but exiting course and its first stop will be the victory in the next elections. He pointed out that the victory should be clear, without leaving any space for doubts regarding the people's will for political change and progressive government with top priorities the public health, the public education, the social state and the protection of the vulnerable groups.
