Parliament President Kaklamanis meets with US Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Olson

Parliament President Nikitas Kaklamanis met on Monday with US Embassy Chargé d'Affaires Maria Olson.

During the meeting, Kaklamanis expressed his satisfaction over the deepening of the Greek-US relations that have reached the highest level ever recorded, underlining that Greece maintains a strong strategic partnership with the US and a long history of cooperation in several sectors.

On her part, Olson wished Kaklamanis success in his new duties and underlined that Greece-US cooperation is of strategic importance, describing Greece as a reliable ally with a strategic and stabilising role in the region, while expressed her desire to further strengthen this cooperation during Kaklamanis' tenure.
