Meteo: Maximum temperature reached nearly 45°C on Tuesday

A heat wave prevailed across the country on Tuesday, with temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius in Eastern Central Greece and Thessaly, while exceeding 43°C in many other areas. According to the National Observatory / Meteo.gr, the temperature surpassed 37°C at 311 of the 550 automatic weather stations, 40°C at 102 stations, and 42°C at 34 stations. The average maximum temperature (37.1°C) was 1.5°C higher than on Monday (35.6°C).
