Firefighters battle wildfire in Agia, Larisa

A wildfire has been raging in Vathirema, Agia, in the prefecture of Larissa since noon on Tuesday. Sixty-two firefighters with 25 vehicles, five aircraft, and one helicopter are operating on the front lines, while water tankers from local authorities and volunteer teams are supporting the effort.

At noon, the 112 emergency number was activated, urging residents in the area to remain on alert. Two firefighters were slightly injured and taken to the Agia Health Centre.
