Michailidou: Parents of three granted lifelong status
Social Cohesion and Family Minister Domna Michailidou in an interview with MEGA TV on Wednesday said that " in the bill we have submitted to parliament, we grant permanence to the status of parents with three children. This is an important step towards the gradual convergence of families with three children and large families, as the prime minister has also announced".
"Once the bill passes next week, a parent of three children will be considered a parent of three children forever, regardless of the age of their children."
Michailidou explained that "what applies until today is that when the third child comes of age, the parent is no longer recognised by the state as a parent of three children and loses the benefits granted to three-child families. This is what changes."
