Papastergiou: Citizens to access personal number anytime via Gov.gr wallet

Citizens will now have access to their personal number through a new feature that has been integrated into the Gov.gr Wallet.

This feature is intended for citizens who obtained the new type of identity card before their personal number was assigned, as this information is not printed on the card.

"We are constantly enhancing the Gov.gr Wallet with new features to establish it as a key tool for citizens' interaction with the state," said Minister of Digital Governance Dimitris Papastergiou.

Since June, more than 1.3 million Personal Numbers have been issued, including over 107,000 by Citizens' Service Centres (KEP) and 287 by Consular Authorities. In addition, more than 423,000 citizen records with discrepancies have been corrected.
