Tsoukalas: 'PASOK has a clear political position and can address both the left and the centre'
"PASOK has a clear political position and can address both the left and the centre", the main opposition party's press spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas said in an interview with SKAI TV on Friday, referring to the poll results and the political landscape. "In fact, we also reach out to voters who may traditionally have supported New Democracy, but who now seek transparency, meritocracy, and not corruption," he added.
PASOK's spokesperson also accused the government of inaction in managing Recovery Fund resources, stating that, "out of roughly 1,200 operational projects, only 550 have been contracted so far". He added that, "if the remaining projects are not contracted by 2026, the country will lose funds — and with them, the opportunity to set Greece on a different path to development."
Regarding the laying of the power cable connecting Cyprus and Greece, Tsoukalas stressed that, "when you send the wrong signal by hesitating to assert your sovereign rights, Turkiye — and more importantly, your partners — perceive that you do not consider them of major importance, and therefore do not include them in their geopolitical planning".
