Kefalogianni: An AI Giga Factory will open new paths for many sectors in Greece

Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni attended the presentation of a proposal for an AI Giga Factory by the Public Power Corporation (PPC) in Western Macedonia on Friday.

"The creation of an AI Giga Factory in Greece will open new roads in research, public administration, social services, and many economic sectors, including that of tourism," she said in statements at the event.

It will also serve as an emblematic investment to boost European technological independence, as it will create a state-of-the-art AI ecosystem able to support research, businesses and public administration, contributing to the creation of new highly specialized jobs, she added.
