Griveas couple accused in Hellenic Postbank case released on conditions
Kyriakos Griveas and his wife Anastasia Vatsika on Monday were released on conditions after testifying to the examining magistrate for Corruption Giorgos Andreadis in relation to the Hellenic Postbank unsecured loans.
Following a unanimous decision by the examining investigator and the prosecutor, Griveas was released on a 500,000 euro bail and a ban to leave the country, while he was required to report twice a month to a local police station. His wife was released on a 100,000 euro bail and was required to report twice a month to a local police station.
The couple is facing charges relating to 17 million euros of business loans that they received from the Hellenic Postbank, which according to the charges were not used for the purpose they were granted.
