Who and why wants to leave IMF from Greece?

Why Berlin opposes in the "haircut" while the Fund insists

Who and why wants to leave IMF from Greece?

The report of the Prime Minister from Berlin that Greece wants to complete the "cooperation" with the IMF earlier than the scheduled speeches, has upset the Media, and has become topic in political and economic circles.

Whether there is a plan for withdrawal of the IMF is probably the ... latest in a series of developments that move to the foreground and the background for months and has to do with the debt!

The withdrawal plan of the IMF and the cover of the needs of Greece for the next years is something that can be done by Europe, with the help - practical or not - of the permanent support mechanism. The truth is that if we finish the "cooperation" with the IMF, we must again borrow the money needed.

The question, however, is who wants the departure of IMF from Greece? Does Maximou? Hardouvelis? Brussels? Berlin or the IMF itself?

Long ago, in the background, has opened the debate on how to resolve the Greek debt. Europe proposes lengthening the debt in 50 years (until 2060), reduce the lending rate and the change of rates from variable to fixed.

This is the schedule of Europe but the IMF does not accept this and calls for "haircut" of the debt. The "haircut", however, will not include loans given by the international organization in Greece, since its statute prohibits it! That is, the IMF never loses his money.

This quarrel between Europe and the IMF has created ... second thoughts in Brussels and Berlin. While they have brought the Fund in Europe, through Greece, now they want to evict it because ... it is against their interests!

However, the pressure that accepts Europe and Samaras do not stop there. In Greece there is also SYRIZA who constantly pushing for "haircut" of the debt, which will allow the country to "breath". It is understood that such a debt haircut in the official public sector, ie in the loans that holding European countries, is not a simple process.

However, Samaras - in partnership with Merkel - trying to create a plan that will ... refutes the arguments of SYRIZA but basically neither the memorandum will end, nor the control of the troika and course the debt will not be actually reduced.

They will simply prolong the debt to the indefinite future ... until we forgot that we owe, because we will be trapped for decades, paying our loans, but with no discount.
What Berlin and Samaras want to do? As long as the IMF remains in the Troika and takes part in the negotiations, it will essentially put pressure for 'haircut'. If IMF withdraws from Greece, leaving only Europe to monitor closely our country, then they can announce actions on the debt by simply 'breaking' it into smaller pieces, but in practice without reducing it.
