Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in his Christmas message wished that all people experience “the absolute respect of the value of an individual, a fellow human being, and the ending of all forms of violence.”
He also referred to “the resurgent waves of violence and barbarity that still plague different regions on the planet, particularly the Middle East and the native Christians, often in the name of religion”.
