Santa run in Thessaloniki

Hundrends of Santas will run in the central streets of Thessaloniki, on Sunday, December 28.

People are invited to dress in red, to wear their red caps and sports shoes and to run at 12 noon, in a relaxed marathon without timer, which starts from the White Tower and will end on Zongolopoulos's Umbrellas in New Beach.

The Deputy Mayor for International Relations and Tourism, Spyros Pegas, will give the start. "It's the first time we organize such a race and is another happy event for the city. The support this race, we want it to become interbalkan. The most important is that it is taking place for charity, for a good purpose," said Mr.Pegkas to ANA - MPA.

You can registrate for the first Santa Run, on the website of the organization www.santarunthessaloniki.com. The cost is 5 Euros and includes the cap of Santa Clause and the number of participation. The money raised will go to the Greek Children's Village, located in the area of Filiro.

At the end of the festive running race, is scheduled a Christmas gathering, with songs and Christmas cakes.
