Greek coast guard says vessel intercepting migrant boat in video is not from its fleet
The Greek coast guard categorically denied on Tuesday claims in the press that a vessel appearing in a video as intercepting a boat with migrants by throwing water on them belongs to its fleet.

“The boat that appears in the video does not belong to its fleet or to Frontex’s fleet, which is participating in the Joint European Operations ‘Poseidon,’” the coast guard said in a statement, noting that its vessels do not carry on their front a special mechanism to throw water (water cannon) as it appears in the video in question.
It said the only vessels with water cannons belong to rescue boats which, however, are all orange.
