Retired policeman shot and killed in Pallini by unknown assailants
Unknown perpetrators shot and killed a 57-year-old retired police officer outside a taverna in Pallini in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to police sources, the perpetrators ambushed the victim as he was leaving the taverna at 2:00, inflicting fatal gunshot injuries as he emerged and firing more bullets into him as he tried to escape by re-entering the taverna. The attackers then fled and the victim was rushed to hospital, where he finally expired.
An inquiry into the shooting is being carried out by the Attica Security Police.
