Frigoglass terminates production in Kato Achaia factory

Frigoglass on Friday announced the immediate termination of production activities at its factory in Kato Achaia, as part of a plan to restructure its production operations, improve cost structure and boost the long-term competitiveness of the company.
Frigoglass has already implemented a series of initiatives in the past, such as a voluntary exit programme, flexible work, reducing payroll costs and transfer of production to other factories with the aim to safeguard the profitability of the factory in Kato Achaia, but all these initiatives failed.
The Group seeks to offer the best possible support to workers in the factory, Frigoglass said in an announcement.
