Storm Victoria to continue affecting Greece until late in the afternoon
The heavy rainfall in the region of Attica will continue until late on Wednesday afternoon with a new wave of more violent thunderstorms arriving after noon according to meteo, the weather service of the National Observatory of Athens.
Meanwhile, Storm Victoria continues to batter Greece, with the most intense phenomena recorded on Crete and a heavy storm that fell in the city of Athens overnight, starting at around 02:00 on Wednesday
The highest precipitation levels recorded by the meteo.gr weather stations network up until 08:30 on Wednesday were in Alikianos and Akrotiri (in the region of Chania, Crete) with 64 and 63 mm respectively, in Spili (Rethymno) that had 52 mm, in the city of Chania that 46 mm of rain and in other areas on Crete.
