Gennimata: It was inconceivable to break the internal front
"We voted the agreements because for us it was self-evident that at this conjuncture it was unconceivable to break the internal front," Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Fofi Gennimata said on Friday speaking to OPEN TV.
She sternly accused the main opposition saying that it chose to vote 'present' and ask for a roll call vote adding that New Democracy and SYRIZA cultivate the division.
On the Turkish provocations in the Aegean, Gennimata underlined that "it is not only a threat for the Greek interests but also for Europe and that's why I have pointed out a year ago to Mr. Mitsotakis the need of a national line agreed at a political leaders' council. Turkey understands only with sanctions not with statements. Unfortunately, the European Union delays to react and the government is only watching".
On the pandemic, she accused the government of "giving the message that is has ended while it is clear that we have not finished with the pandemic."
