Two popular beach bars on Mykonos close after multiple COVID-19 cases detected

The general secretary of Civil Protection Vassilis Papageorgiou decided late Tuesday to suspend the operation of the popular beach bars "Nammos" and Scorpios" on the island of Mykonos, after several members of their staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The cases were detected during a surprise inspection conducted by a group headed by Papageorgiou, who went to Mykonos to examine the situation on the island last Saturday.
According to sources, at least 10 coronavirus cases have been found so far and Papageorgiou ordered the closure of both bars from 22:00 on Tuesday until 07:00 on Friday, September 4, in order to complete the tracking and tracing process to follow the spread of the virus and decide what to do next.
