Greek bond market closing report
International bond markets are expecting a new wave of state bond issues, possibly a Greek issue too, this week, analysts said on Monday. A favorable climate prevailing in state bond markets lead Eurozone member-states to raise their borrowing in order to meet increased demands for state spending.
In the domestic electronic secondary bond market, the 10-year bond yield was 0.82 pct, slightly up from 0.78 pct the previous week, with the German Bund yielding -0.61 pct and the yield spread between them falling to 1.43 pct from 1.49 pct on Friday. Turnover was a heavy 130 million euros of which 52 million were buy orders.
