Series of aftershocks follow 5.4R quake in Chalkidiki
Over 10 aftershocks followed that 5.4 Richter earthquake recorded at 13:48 on Sunday in the sea region of northern Aegean between Mt Athos and Sithonia peninsulas in Chalkidiki
The strongest aftershock was reached 4.5 on the Richter scale.
Moderate quake shakes Chalkidiki
A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was recorded 13:48 in Chalkidiki, 23 km southwest of Athos peninsula and 229 km north-northwest of Athens, the Geodynamics Institute of Athens National Observatory said on Sunday.
The quake's focal depth was 10km and was felt in many parts of Chalkidiki and Thessaloniki.
