Bomb threat at Egaleo station shuts down metro line for an hour
Trains on the Athens metro Line 3 (blue line) resumed operation after the threat of a bomb on Friday evening proved to be a hoax.
An unidentified person called Zougla.gr at 18:36 to say a bomb had been placed at the Egaleo metro station, expected to go off at 19:17.
Police cordoned off the area and evacuated the station for nearly an hour before it was reopened again.
