Michailidou: Women’s support at the heart of our policy; mothers, workers, entrepreneurs, farmers
The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs Domna Michailidou, met with the President of the Union of Hellenic Chambers of Commerce (UHC) Giannis Voutsinas, and the President of the National Chamber Network of Greek Women Entrepreneurs Marianna Malliaroudaki.

During the meeting, issues related to women’s empowerment, employment, and entrepreneurship were discussed. Particular emphasis was placed on regional development and strategies to support women in all aspects of their professional activities.
Michailidou also referred to the provision of financial assistance to 2,500 mothers of three children and 600 mothers of multiple children in the agricultural sector as part of the Social Program of the Agricultural Home Account of the Organization of Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA).
“Each mother of a large family who meets the requirements will receive financial assistance of one thousand euros, while mothers of three children will receive seven hundred euros. The state actively supports rural mothers and motherhood and is rectifying long-standing injustices,” Michailidou stressed.
